Polymer Clay Enthusiasts Team on Etsy...

.¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨)
(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ Hello Everyone!

I am a proud member of the Polymer Clay Enthusiasts Team (PCE Team) on Etsy and I would like to tell you a little bit about our team.  On November 11, 2010 the team was established and I am happy to say that we are really growing!  We currently have 142 members!  Our team is made up of  so many very talented and creative members, whose polymer clay creations range from jewelry and beads to cake toppers and figurines ~ and all kinds of wonderful things in-between.

The PCE Team is open to all who create with polymer clay and sell their creations in their Etsy Shops.  It's a great place to get to know fellow polymer clay enthusiasts, and for sharing great tips and polymer clay knowledge with each other.  There are lively, informative, fun and interesting discussions to participate in, and great team challenges, where we can create wonderfully diverse treasuries... and much, much more...

In November, the Captain of our team posted an invitation on her blog and the following is what she wrote:

"We'd love to invite any and all polymer clay artists on Etsy to join our team.  The only requirement is that you work with and sell polymer clay items in your Etsy store.  This is NOT an open team.  We have done this so that only those people who are polymer clay artists, hobby-ists, and artisans can participate."

I thought I could help get her word out, by posting it here on my blog too!  So, if you think this Team is for you, please come check it out, find out more...

A Blustery Day at the Christmas Tree Farm!

Our son, picking out the tree!

.¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨)
(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ Our plan was to go to the Christmas Tree Farm and pick out our tree today.  Our son was going to drive us there in his new truck, and we were going to pick up his grandma on the way, so she could pick out her tree too.  We woke up to quite a bit of snow and 35 to 45 mile per hour winds... Very low visibility, practically a white out ~ in fact, it may have been a white-out.  But we all went to the tree farm anyway!  Crazy, yes... but there were a lot of other people there, picking out and cutting down their trees too.  So, I guess we're not the only crazy ones.  Haha!  I was surprised... there were more people out and about than I thought there would be.

We had fun ~ in spite of the COLD, windy, snowy weather!  I had never been to the tree farm before.  My son and his dad went a couple of years ago and it was cold and snowy then too, but nothing like it was today.  It's a pretty big tree farm, real nice.  There was a beautiful, and very warm bonfire going, and they had benches set up around it, so that people could sit by the fire and warm up.  There was a cute little place to buy hot chocolate and snacks. Once we picked out our tree, we walked over to the warm fire for a while... to thaw out!!

The tree is home now, and all set up in front of the window.  It is still frozen in spots!  We have plastic under the tree and we can hear it dripping...  Once it's all thawed out, we will decorate it.  Sure smells great in here, there's nothing like the fresh spruce fragrance of a real tree.

Warmed by the fire!

All ready to take our tree home!

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ Posting  pictures of some of the little trees at the Tree Farm, and some of the bigger ones as well... You can really see the low visibility in these pictures... can't see much else beyond the Christmas trees.

A Fun Surprise!

.¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨)
(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥As many of you know, I recently set up my studio and unpacked things that had been packed away since 2007.  I had a special little keepsake box packed in one of the boxes with some other decorative items for my studio.   When I unpacked the little box, I placed in on the windowsill next to a vase holding some dried flowers, from an arrangement my daughter sent me for Mothers Day.  I didn't open the box at the time, but for some reason I opened the little box today and inside was a neatly folded ten dollar bill!  I was so excited... found money, how fun is that!!  Then I had to laugh... I was thinking about the fact that I had a ten dollar bill  in my wallet at that very minute... and that was great, but it was nothing like the excitement of finding ten dollars in that little box.  It was a Fun Surprise... it's always such a fun surprise to find money, change in the laundry (I tell everyone in my house to be sure to empty their pockets before putting their clothes in the hamper, because any change that shows up in the dryer becomes the property of the person doing the  laundry!)  Or how about money in the couch cushions, a penny on the sidewalk (heads up, of course!)  Or how fun is it when winter rolls around, and you get out your winter coat from the back of the closet and wear it for the first time again... then put your hand in the pocket and find money!  Yes, it's really a fun surprise to find money!

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ Happy day to all, and may you find some money tucked away somewhere that you've forgotten all about too!
