A Bearded Dragon Wedding Cake Topper!

Last week I showed you a sneak peek at the Bearded Dragon Wedding Cake Topper I was working on and today I would like to share my completed piece with you!  He's looking quite dapper in his top hat and bow tie and she's all ready for the special day with a pretty flower tucked near her eye...  Their tails are intertwined and they are on a rectangle base that I stamped with a leaf design and highlighted with a golden mica powder.  You can see more about this wedding topper HERE.

Etsy Finds Friday - Spring Finds!

It's Etsy Finds Friday and SPRING is in the air!  Well... Not so much here where I live, but SOON!  (I hope!)  I have been enjoying seeing the spring colors and spring inspired creations on Etsy and thought I would share a few of my favorites today.  Enjoy, and be sure to visit each of these wonderful shops to see more of their awesome items.

 I really love the way the different fabrics, designs and colors were 

used to create this darling spring dress!

A picture doesn't do this fabric justice!! It is simply gorgeous!!! The bodice is a light grey, aqua blue floral print, the skirt is an aqua chevron and the ruffle is a coordinating darker grey with aqua accent fabric. The Sash is removable. This dress can be paired with leggings or ruffle pants for a completed look!

Daisy is a pretty white Easter bunny figurine handsculpted from polymer clay. She is wearing a bright yellow polka dot dress with a lovely white eyelet skirt and crepe paper collar. A cute satin bow accents her tall, delicate ears. She has big brown eyes and her cheeks and ears are lightly blushed. She is carrying a basket filled with her favorite flowers, daisies, of course! 

The two-tiered lavender granite clay base is covered in glass glitter.

Five Kitties and Three Turtles!

Introducing my newest custom order... A wedding cake topper that includes five cats and three turtles!  This was definitely fun to create, with all five different kitty personalities and poses, and those cute little turtles sitting in various places on the groom! 

In the following close-up of the kitties, you can see that the middle cat is just about to pounce on the little red dot!  This is my customer's 'Hunter' kitty.

The little 'tortoiseshell' kitty is between the groom's legs... 

His little tail is wrapped around the groom's leg.

Awesome!

As I sit here this morning, enjoying a nice cup of hot coffee, I'm looking out our big picture window in the living room... I hear the birds chirping, and with my eyes closed, it kind of sounds like spring outside, but I open them and there it is, SNOW on the ground!!  Yes, that's right, a few inches of newly fallen snow this morning... Spring... I don't think it's going to be here any time soon.  

So, it's a good day to stay inside, and I am headed back into my studio to create a Bearded Dragon Wedding Cake Topper... But first, as I sit here enjoying the sound of the birds and the pretty look of the newly fallen snow, I am also browsing through Etsy on my computer.  I've been so busy in my studio lately, creating wonderful new orders, that I kind of lost track of time this past week... Plus, I'm getting used to a new schedule at work, and we've had some trips to the vet for our little Emmi...  

Friday came and went and I didn't have the chance to post my Etsy Finds Friday for the week!  I saw this AWESOME Sculpture by Dawn Schiller of Odd Fae and wow!  A very wonderful piece of artwork!!   Her work is fantastic, she's such an inspiration!!!  I thought I would post my 'Etsy Finds Friday' today... A Dragon Wedding Keepsake...

Here it is, after the sneak peeks, it's all finished, and my customer's are very happy with it, which makes me very happy!!!  They were married over a year ago and wanted a special keepsake to display in their home, and here it is!  The dragon is about 8" wide, 8" long, and 4" tall...

When my customers received the Dragon Keepsake, they sent me this sweet email:

"OH Trina it is so BEAUTIFUL!! We just love it! All the little details are just perfect. 

I don't have the words to tell you how happy we are with our keepsake. 

I will make sure to show as many people as possible and let them 

know who to go to if they ever need something like this done."

Receiving emails and feedback like this is what makes what I do even more worthwhile!  I appreciate every one of my customers, and enjoy every second of creating these wonderful and special pieces!
