Cowboys and Cowgirls are fun toppers and keepsakes!!  For that special little one in your life who loves all things western, these would be perfect!  They can be personalized just for you, here are a few that I recently created...

A Little Girl and Her Pony

Created for a girl's 5th Birthday, this fun cake topper features a Cowgirl all decked out in her western hot pink outfit, and her little pony wearing a hot pink flower in her hair!  They are standing in the grass with flowers in front of them.  The lasso was made in the shape of a number five for this special birthday celebration.  After the party, it's a wonderful keepsake to last a lifetime!

This little Cowboy is wearing his black cowboy boots and hat, a red bandana with his name on it, and is holding his rope and a great big LUCKY Horseshoe!

My Little Cowgirl Birthday Cake Topper

A sweet little cowgirl holding her lasso that is shaped like the number one for her First Birthday!  This Cowgirl was a custom order for a customer who requested the lasso be shaped like a ONE.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥  Here's what my customer said in her feedback for me, after she received the topper:  "Trina worked with me on making a cowgirl and little pony cake topper for my daughters first birthday and all I can say is it is PERFECT!! She was so open to any of my ideas and creative. It turned out better than I had imagined it would! She has created something for my daughter that she'll always cherish. Not to mention how quickly she had it done and to me safe and sound. I will definitely be ordering more from her in the future!!"  I thank my customer for her awesome feedback, and am so happy that she loves her little Cowgirl and Horse!!  Kind words like the ones she left for me are what make my artwork even that much more worthwhile!!!

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥  Such a happy look on her face, the sweet little cowgirl is wearing a pink shirt with white buttons and blue jeans that are rolled up into cuffs.  Her darling pink and brown chaps have fringe on each side and she wears a belt buckle that is shaped like heart.  There is a pink and brown rope band on her yellow cowboy hat and a little heart adorns one side.  Both hearts were stamped with a swirly design, and her little brown cowboy boots are also stamped with a design.  She sits approximately 3" high, 3" wide and 2 1/2" long.

His and Her Cowboy Boot Wedding Cake Topper

Introducing my newest custom made wedding cake topper; His and Her Cowboy Boots!!  Perfect for a Western / Cowboy style wedding, these adorable cowboy boots stand approximately 2 1/2" tall and are on a 3" round base.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥  A small extension at the front of the base was added for a plaque containing the "ranch" name and wedding date.  The plaque's frame was created to look like wood, to give it a rustic feel, and two little horseshoes adorn one corner.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥  'Her' Boot was made to resemble the boots that my customer will be wearing at her wedding.  At the bride's request, a big sunflower and hot pink Gerber daisy decorate one side of the boot.  'His' Boot was made to resemble the groom's favorite pair of boots, created in two tone brown colors.  The base was made to look like sand and the entire piece was antiqued to bring out the details and add to the overall rustic look.

A Peek at What I've Been Up To...

I have been having fun in my studio, working on some custom orders!  A BIG Thank You to my customers, I had fun creating each and every one!  Here's a little peek of a few...

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ This darling Wedding cake topper features a Doctor, Nurse and two sweet little girls.  Dressed in pink and purple, the little girls are holding bouquets of roses.  The bride 'nurse' is dressed in pink scrubs, wearing a nurse's hat and holding a slightly larger bouquet of pink and white roses.  The groom 'doctor' is wearing navy blue scrubs with a white doctor's coat and a stethoscope around his neck.  A little plaque, outlined with vines and leaves, displays the wedding date.

My customer has already received the above topper and this is the feedback I received from her ~ It makes my work so much more worthwhile to receive such wonderful feedback:

"Oh my goodness did my topper turn out amazing!!! I do not, do NOT like ppl on my cake but when looking for a unique topper...I stumbled upon Trina's creations and just fell in love with her items and my topper is better than I ever thought it could be!! I'm so excited to see it on my cake! Thanks for your amazing work!"

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ This Squirrel is very happy because she has a huge yummy lolly pop to enjoy!  Sitting a a base of vines and leaves, she's so cute with her buck teeth and bow in her hair.  She stands approximately 4" tall, on a 2 1/4" base.  The vines and leaves around the base are highlighted with gold mica powder to bring out the design.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ A fun black and white cow who loves bubble gum!!  She's approximately 4" tall on a 2" base.  Wearing a purple flower in her hair, she's happy as can be sitting on a base of leaves and vines.  The leaves and vines were highlighted with mica powder to bring out the design.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ This little Cowboy is based on the "TV loving" boy on 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' ~ Holding his game controller in his hands, he also has TV remotes in his holster!  Wearing his cowboy boots and cowboy hat, he looks so happy... As if he's winning the video game!!  He stands approximately 4" tall, on a 2 1/2" base.  An orange rope design decorates the base he's standing on, as well as his cowboy hat.  In the picture below you can see the little TV remotes, and aren't those the cutest little pants... pockets and all?!

My Polymer Clay Cowboy and Pirate

A little Show-and-Tell today!  I just finished two custom orders, a Cowboy with a Stick Horse and a Pirate. Many of you may have already seen my little Pirate, but this one has a little addition.  My customer wanted a Palm Tree and a Treasure Trunk to go with her Pirate.  I thought the scene turned out so cute, so I wanted to share! 

Next is a darling little Cowboy wearing his cowboy hat and boots, holding his stick-horse in his lap.  He's wearing a badge with his initials on it.  My customer wanted one of my horses, but because it's a Cake Topper for a first birthday she was concerned about size.  She decided a stick horse would be a good idea and I agree, it turned out so cute!  As I was creating this little guy, it brought back memories of when my kids were little.  In fact, we still have my daughter's stick-horse from when she was little.  It's here in our basement, she always loved it and kept it all these years!

Lovin' The Weekend...

I spent some very productive and creative time in my studio this weekend, putting the finishing touches on these two adorable cake toppers.  My horse has always been a very popular item, so I thought I'd incorporate a little cowgirl with the horse, to create a birthday cake topper.  I also made a horse wedding cake topper.

Of course, I didn't start out with cake toppers in mind, I wanted to make something "Halloweenish" since the holiday is fast approaching.  Turned out my Halloween idea was looking more like a scary string puppet or ventriloquist dummy - rather than the idea I had in mind.  Although "scary" is the theme of Halloween, I am not too crazy about string puppets or those ventriloquist dummies!  Actually, for as long as I can remember, I've been quite terrified of anything that remotely resembles either one.  I am pretty certain this fear began when I was very young, probably 5 or 6 years old or so.  My dad gave me a ventriloquist puppet for my birthday.  It was big, probably bigger than me at the time... you know, like the ones that sit on your lap, with those big eyes that move, the mouth that opens real big, and all those teeth...  My mom told me that the minute my dad saw how scared his little girl seemed to be, he boxed it right back up and returned it!  I must have received a different birthday gift - I don't remember, but I certainly remember that puppet!  Funny how things like that from our childhood days stay with us, somewhere in the back of our minds - just living there unnoticed - until something we see brings the memory to the forefront of our mind.  That's what happened to me when I sculpted that block of clay!  Yes, these cake toppers are much cuter!  Now for some time outside... the weather is absolutely gorgeous today and a nice long walk sounds wonderful
