Etsy Finds Friday - Griffinwyse

It's **Etsy Finds Friday**
Today I am featuring the
Awesome Elf Sculptures
Created by:
Kimberly Yavuz
of Griffinwyse

I love the awesome artwork by Kimberly Yavuz!
Each of her sculptures is incredible, unique and full of personality!

In the Artist's Own Words:
Like most artists, I have been making things as long as I can remember. Over the years I have been passionate about designing, drawing, painting and sculpting. I have done all of these in many forms; fashion and bridal design, fashion illustration, as a make-up artist, bronze sculptor, ceramist, wife and mother. I loved it all and it didn't matter if I was "sculpting" a bridal gown or "painting" a face, the thing I loved most about the work was how happy creating these things made others. For me nothing could be more rewarding than loving what you do, enjoying the process, and then getting to see people react and smile at your creation. My daughters are my primary inspiration for creating my elves. They have kept my imagination alive and keep new stories and adventures just around the corner every day. The elves have fused my love of books and stories, historical fashion, painting, make-up artistry and creating something from nothing. I love what I do and I hope they put a smile on your face, too!
My elves have been featured in Art Doll Quarterly and Doll Collector magazines and I consider it an honor to have my work displayed among so many talented artists.

Fairy in Purple!

Well, here she is... The other Fairy I was working on.  She lives in the world of make believe with her friend the Flower Fairy, where anything is possible and everything is sprinkled with sunshine and fairy dust! She is relaxing in the grass among the flowers with a lady bug by her side. Her wings were stamped with a floral design and mica powder was used to highlight the design and give the Fairy a magical look.

Sassy and Sweet... Two Little Polymer Clay Fairy's!

I just finished a custom order and thought I would share it with you.  This cute little Fairy is sitting on a log, and my buyer wanted her dog and cat in the scene.  I created two versions of the Fairy ~ one with a bit of a 'Sassy' edge to her, which is the custom order.  The first picture is my 'work in progress,'  and the second picture (with the dog and cat) is the finished piece.

... And below is the 'Sweet' version, which I will be listing in my Etsy Shop...  The Fairy is sitting on a little faux wooden bench with flowers, a snail and a lady bug in the grass.  All made of polymer clay.  Both of the Fairy's wings have been stamped with a floral and heart design, and highlighted with mica powders.  I am going to work on another 'Sassy' Fairy to list in my Etsy Shop as soon as I finish my next two orders.
