Etsy Finds Friday - Spring Finds!

It's Etsy Finds Friday and SPRING is in the air!  Well... Not so much here where I live, but SOON!  (I hope!)  I have been enjoying seeing the spring colors and spring inspired creations on Etsy and thought I would share a few of my favorites today.  Enjoy, and be sure to visit each of these wonderful shops to see more of their awesome items.

 I really love the way the different fabrics, designs and colors were 

used to create this darling spring dress!

A picture doesn't do this fabric justice!! It is simply gorgeous!!! The bodice is a light grey, aqua blue floral print, the skirt is an aqua chevron and the ruffle is a coordinating darker grey with aqua accent fabric. The Sash is removable. This dress can be paired with leggings or ruffle pants for a completed look!

Size is around 3.5 inches tall and they'll fit snugly in your cupped hand.

sweet polka dot dress and basket of daisies.

Daisy is a pretty white Easter bunny figurine handsculpted from polymer clay. She is wearing a bright yellow polka dot dress with a lovely white eyelet skirt and crepe paper collar. A cute satin bow accents her tall, delicate ears. She has big brown eyes and her cheeks and ears are lightly blushed. She is carrying a basket filled with her favorite flowers, daisies, of course! 

The two-tiered lavender granite clay base is covered in glass glitter.

A Challenge Piece... A Little Bear in a Big Easter Bonnet

Soon it will be spring, flowers will be blooming and color will fill the landscape!!  I can't wait, I love spring and am tired of the drab look of winter!  We didn't get as much snow as usual, so it's mostly looked gray and dreary here this winter.  Although, as I write this, the sun is out and that is very NICE!  The sun will make it feel warmer, and that's good because it's only 11 degrees right now.  I am really ready for the warmer temperatures.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥  This month our PCETeam challenge is something for spring or Easter and I created this little Bear relaxing in the grass wearing her beautiful Easter Bonnet.  There is a basket of Easter Eggs beside her and a little ladybug has come to visit.  Pretty flowers decorate her bonnet which is tied to one side with a great big yellow bow.  There are purple and yellow flowers in the grass beside her, as she happily enjoys a pretty spring day.  She's wearing pink and has her feet up, in a relaxing pose, with her little white ruffles showing.  I used mica powders to highlight and to add color and sparkle.  She is on a base that is approximately 2 1/2" round she's about 2" high.  Below are more pictures, and you can click HERE to see the listing in my Etsy Shop.

It's All About Spring!

I just spent some creative time in my studio while the sunshine poured through the windows reminding me that spring is on it's way!!  Today, along with some older springtime creations of mine, I'm also sharing two of the things I've just finished creating... It's all about spring, it's all about painting Easter Eggs!!

 I created this 'Little Boy Fishing' figurine quite a while ago, and I thought I would share it with you today... Since I'm thinking about warmer weather, I thought he would fit right in.  My daughter once told me that when she thinks of the most creative figurines I've made, this little boy fishing is one of the ones she thinks of first.

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ Spring is the time when the beautiful and colorful flowers brighten up the landscape... It's the time we get  to go outside and work in our gardens, with the warm sun shining down on us. It's a time I've been looking forward to ~ pretty much since our first snowfall!!  Here are two of my Garden Figurine Cake Toppers:

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ♥ To mark the beginning of spring there is a Butterfly Exhibit happening here.  We are going to the exhibit this week sometime, and I am hoping to get some fun butterfly photographs.  If I do, I will share them with you here on my blog, so keep your eye out for some pretty butterflies on one of my next blog posts!! :)
