It's *♥*Etsy Finds Friday*♥*
Today I am featuring the
Beautiful Pottery
created by:
Jarita Thomson of
Jarita's Creations
Earthy Hand~Built Pottery and Jewelry
I have been admiring, and have been inspired by, Jarita's beautiful work ever since I first saw it on Etsy. She creates wonderful pieces, each with such lovely detail! Jarita says she is awestruck at the incredible magic and beauty of the earth's creations and she attempts to share her admiration for what nature has created by recreating a personal intepretation in her artwork. ... And she does it beautifully!
Romantic 'Antique Rose'
A Unique Birdhouse
Here's a little of what the Artist says about her work:
"I feel that magic is necessary for contentment and joy in life! My artwork is a celebration of that magic. I hope that through my creations, others may bring this joy into their homes and appreciate the magic of nature's creations!"
"I handbuild each piece with great attention to detail creating vases that will complement the flowers within, candle cups that will encourage the firelight to dance, faerie- style birdhouses that inspire the hope of new beginnings, and earthy jewelry that encompasses the magic of the forest."

"Although I was first introduced to ceramics about 20 years ago, I have been developing my own ceramic art for over 10 years - learning, growing, and creating new designs and techniques."
"One of my favorite firing methods is raku due to the fascinating color variances that can be achieved with the copper-based glazes on my leaf designs. I love the way they can resemble the red-green shades of a new spring leaf or the golden plum & fiery shades of fall. The crackle effect also adds depth, softness, and the feeling of time -a feeling of a place somewhere within eternity."
