Can You Guess What This WAS?

Well, if you guessed it WAS an Owners Manual for our truck... You were correct!  The truck was parked near our barn, and not in use for most of the winter.  Looks as though some little (or BIG) critters got in there and found some very nice nesting material and/or food!  I'm sure we may just find nests under the seats, we have some cleaning up to do.  Destructive little critters aren't they?!!  Looks like some kind of giant took a great big bite out of it, doesn't it?!  LOL!    

Speaking of nests... We have had quite AWFUL weather here lately and the other day, with the nasty weather, came very strong winds... The next day we found this beautifully made nest on the ground, next to one of our trees.  Those poor little birds worked so hard to make a nice home, and there it was laying on the ground.  Still in perfect shape though, I am always amazed at how perfectly created nests are!  It's amazing really.

 Still NO blooms in our yard, but the birds are building their nests...

In the Artists Own Words:

I was born in England and love chocolate, my family, making things and growing vegetables. Not necessarily in that order. I have been 'making things' for as long as I can remember. Quilts and rag rugs have been some of my passions. I have a lovely,supportive husband, three daughters and three grandsons as well as dogs, pigs, sheep, ducks and chickens.  Ten years ago we moved to Wales to make our dream of owning a smallholding and having the space to grow all of our own vegetables as well as raising animals come true. I don't like waste so after our sheep were shorn for the first time I decided to do something with the fleeces. I tried spinning and weaving but it was the magical process of felt making that truly hooked me. There is only so much felt that a house can hold so I tried selling some of my work at a local craft fair and, to my great surprise, people liked it and were even willing to pay good money for my artwork! Since then I have qualified as an adult education teacher and teach workshops, I sell in local art and craft shops and some of my work goes to exhibitions.

I just love the vibrant colors and beautiful

Wedding Season will SOON be Here!

Yes, wedding season IS upon us!  I've been very busy in my studio creating a lot of wedding cake toppers!  They are already, or will be, listed in my Etsy shop as examples of wedding cake toppers I can create for you!  Each of my wedding cake toppers are made to match the descriptions of wedding attire, flowers, pets, and much more.  I take great pride in adding all the wonderful details that make each piece special, personalized and unique!  Here's a look at a few that are newly listed in my shop, you can click on the images to see more about them!   There will be more Wedding Cake Toppers to come too, so please stay tuned!!

Kim is a retired teacher who finally has the time to devote to melting glass, playing with metals, and creating one of a kind jewelry pieces. She has worked with glass for over twenty-five years, in one temperature or another. Kim was drawn into the world of borosilicate glass after working soley with soft glass for about four years.  With this glass, boro as it is called, opening the kiln in the morning is always a surprise!  All of Kim's glass has been annealed in a digitally controlled kiln, a very important thing to look for when buying glass jewelry.
